Test Description

Venient Fx Cardiovascular Function Basic is a disruptive, non-invasive test that provides essential information about a patient's cardiovascular health by leveraging the lipid profile.

It is based on routine blood analysis and it is powered by both proprietary machine learning and public algorithms, and provides highly accurate primary diagnostic information, including the likelihood of cardiovascular disease. As a first line test, the results of the parameters included in it are useful in guiding through different diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic options. Although the results are usually preliminary in decision making, in some cases, they can be definitive.

It is based on the measurement of the different types of cholesterol and total bilirubin.

In case of a positive result, the diagnostic report may suggest the performance of a certain secondary line test, in order to deepen diagnostic information, confirm therapies, establish prognoses or follow up the disease.

If cardiovascular disease is suggested, other tests will be recommended as appropriate.

Screening recommendations

The United States Preventative Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommends against electrocardiogram (ECG) screening at rest or exercise to prevent cardiovascular disease (CVD) in asymptomatic adults at low risk for CVD.

However, Kience Inc. recommends the Venient Fx Cardiovascular Function Basic test to treat patients with the following symptoms, signs or suspected symptoms: dyslipidemia, type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM2), obesity, sedentary lifestyle, smoking or tobacco use, high blood pressure, metabolic syndrome, abdominal obesity or familial hypercholesterolemia.

Intended Use

The target population for Venient Fx Cardiovascular Function Basic is patients with clinical suspicion of: dyslipidemia, type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM2), obesity, sedentary lifestyle, smoking or vaping, arterial hypertension, metabolic syndrome, abdominal obesity or familial hypercholesterolemia.
