Test Description

Venient Cx Thyroid Function Comprehensive is a groundbreaking blood-based screening test that provides extensive information about the thyroid function.

This is an Evidence-Based Laboratory Medicine (EBLM) test developed not only in compliance with the American Thyroid Association (ATA) guidelines, but also incorporating the latest scientific findings. Thanks to our proprietary machine learning (ML) algorithms, this test is able to accurately detect a wide range of thyroid diseases — e.g., primary, secondary, and tertiary hypo and hyperthyroidism, both of non-autoimmune or autoimmune etiology.

United States Preventative Services Task Force (USPSTF) screening recommendations

The USPSTF concludes that the current evidence is insufficient to assess the balance of benefits and harms of screening for thyroid dysfunction in nonpregnant, asymptomatic adults. However, Kience Inc. recommends our laboratory-developed test (LDT) Venient Cx Thyroid Function Comprehensive to address patients with clinical suspicion of: hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, autoimmune thyroiditis (Hashimoto's thyroiditis), Quervain's subacute thyroiditis, multinodular goiter, Graves-Basedow disease, thyroid nodule, thyroid alteration secondary to drugs, or pregnancy.

Intended Use

The intended population for Venient Cx Thyroid Function Comprehensive test are patients with clinical suspicion of: hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, autoimmune thyroiditis (Hashimoto's thyroiditis), Quervain's subacute thyroiditis, multinodular goiter, Graves-Basedow disease, thyroid nodule, thyroid alteration secondary to drugs, or pregnancy.
